- 1/2 cup ice cubes

- Optional: Handful of spinach
Instructions
- Peel and slice the banana, then freeze overnight for a creamier texture.
- Grate the fresh ginger using a fine grater or microplane.
- Juice the lemon fresh; avoid bottled juice for best flavor.
- Add banana, lemon juice, ginger, water or coconut water, and ice to a blender.
- Blend until smooth and creamy.
- Add any optional ingredients and blend again until well incorporated.
- Serve immediately in a tall glass with optional garnish of lemon or ginger twist.
Notes
To prep ahead, freeze ingredients in a smoothie bag. For a thicker blend, add Greek yogurt or avocado. Adjust water amount based on preferred consistency.
