Description

A rich, creamy, and easy-to-make chocolate mousse that’s perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 200g dark chocolate (at least 70% cocoa)
  • 3 eggs (separated)
  • 250ml heavy whipping cream
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract (optional)

Instructions

  1. Break the dark chocolate into small pieces and melt it using a double boiler. Stir until smooth and let it cool slightly.
  2. In a separate bowl, beat the heavy whipping cream until soft peaks form.
  3. Whisk the egg yolks with sugar until pale and creamy.
  4. Gently fold the melted chocolate into the egg yolk mixture.
  5. Fold in half of the whipped cream to lighten the mixture.
  6. Gently fold in the remaining whipped cream, keeping the mousse light and airy.
  7. Spoon into serving cups and refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.

Notes

Use high-quality chocolate for the best flavor. Chill for at least 2 hours to allow the mousse to set properly.
