Description

A nostalgic, buttery peach cobbler made easy with cake mix—just like Grandma used to make, but faster.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cans (15 oz each) sliced peaches in heavy syrup (or 4 cups fresh peaches, peeled and sliced)
  • 1 box yellow cake mix (15.25 oz)
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, sliced into thin pats
  • Optional: 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • Optional: 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • Optional: pinch of nutmeg or almond extract
  • Optional: chopped pecans or granola for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Pour peaches and all their syrup into the dish. Sprinkle with cinnamon and brown sugar if using.
  3. Evenly sprinkle dry cake mix over the fruit—do not stir.
  4. Top with thin slices of butter, covering most of the surface.
  5. Bake uncovered for 40 to 45 minutes, or until golden and bubbling at the edges.
  6. Let rest for 10 minutes before serving.

Notes

Serve warm with vanilla ice cream, Greek yogurt, or whipped cream. Store covered in the fridge for up to 4 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
