Description

Fluffy, buttery biscuits made with just three simple ingredients! Perfect for breakfast, brunch, or as a quick side dish.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups pancake mix (Krusteaz Buttermilk recommended)
  • ½ cup cold butter (grated or cubed)
  • ⅔ cup cold milk (or buttermilk for a richer taste)
  • Optional Add-ins:
  • ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese (for cheddar biscuits)
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder + 1 teaspoon fresh chopped parsley (for garlic & herb biscuits)
  • 1 tablespoon honey (for sweet honey biscuits)

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, add pancake mix.
  2. Grate or cube cold butter and mix into pancake mix until coarse crumbs form.
  3. Slowly add milk, stirring until dough forms.
  4. Transfer dough to a floured surface and gently press into a ball.
  5. Fold the dough in half, then repeat 4-5 times to create layers.
  6. Roll out to 1-inch thickness and cut out biscuits.
  7. Place biscuits on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  8. Preheat oven to 450°F (230°C) and bake for 10-12 minutes until golden brown.
  9. Optional: Brush tops with melted butter before serving.

Notes

Keep butter cold for flakier biscuits. Avoid overmixing to maintain a light texture.
