- 2 cups pancake mix (Krusteaz Buttermilk recommended)
- ½ cup cold butter (grated or cubed)
- ⅔ cup cold milk (or buttermilk for a richer taste)
- Optional Add-ins:
- ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese (for cheddar biscuits)
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder + 1 teaspoon fresh chopped parsley (for garlic & herb biscuits)
- 1 tablespoon honey (for sweet honey biscuits)
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, add pancake mix.
- Grate or cube cold butter and mix into pancake mix until coarse crumbs form.
- Slowly add milk, stirring until dough forms.
- Transfer dough to a floured surface and gently press into a ball.
- Fold the dough in half, then repeat 4-5 times to create layers.
- Roll out to 1-inch thickness and cut out biscuits.
- Place biscuits on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Preheat oven to 450°F (230°C) and bake for 10-12 minutes until golden brown.
- Optional: Brush tops with melted butter before serving.
Notes
Keep butter cold for flakier biscuits. Avoid overmixing to maintain a light texture.
